Another month!

Sunday the 31st of May, we had a good service, even though John was
missing, which we will probably get used to one of these days. He was
at his 'Big Church' in Cleveland gaining experience in that type of
church - which is required for his being accepted in the Ministerial
Fellowshipping Program at the UUA. Over the next year, John will be at
the church in Cleveland one or two Sundays per month to complete that
program. Another hurdle for him that he's jumping well!

The outpouring of love and support for Lou, and for me, on the passing

When my Father died on December 8, 1972, I learned that we're each here
for a moment and we don't know - can't predict how long that moment will
be.  We're each so very dear and unique and wonderful in our own special
ways.
I also learned that night that I can't fix everything, that no matter
how hard I tried or how hard I wanted him to stay - he couldn't do that..
Tonight, I relived those moments and was so shockingly reminded of it again.

Today was a most interesting service at All Souls followed by most enjoyable evening at Brian and Jackie Moore's 3rd Annual Memorial Day Cookout...

For those of you who claim the title “pacifist,” I salute you. It takes great courage of one’s convictions to make such a statement and it takes a commitment that most of us are either unwilling or unable to make.
